Astrology
Astrology is part of a broader worldview involving psychology, eastern religious practices, and new age ideas.
It is esoteric in nature - as it pertains to mysticism and divination - essentially having 'spiritual knowledge' which is understood by only a small group or those initiated.
It is also thought that - Astrology is way to understand karmic connections/relationships, as well as being able to understand our life purpose (which is set out before we incarnate in our current bodies and is mapped by our birthcharts) (#1 see annotations below).
Esoteric astrology looks towards causes rather than effects, to the life of the human soul that lies behind the outer form - the body.
The soul is that imperishable, perpetual existence that takes repeated cyclic embodiments - in male or female bodies and in varying cultures; part of its purpose is to expand consciousness, and to work out karma.
Esoteric astrology gives a larger perspective of life; that we are not just inhabiting a little planet on its own in the solar system, but actually participating as an energy centre within a greater solar life.
Most astrology practiced today is 'personality' astrology that ranges from the mundane to the quite spiritually oriented. Whether we are considering fortune-telling astrology or the more serious psychological astrology that strives to help bring about integration and wholeness, we are still limited by the tools with which we work.
Some modern thinkers regard Astrology as "the language of the soul". (#2)
Like any discipline, astrology isn't given; it's constructed by the interaction of the consciousness of the astrologer with the observable facts.
As the consciousness of astrologers changes and evolves, so does astrology. (#2.a)
Other people define Astrology as 'Collaborating with Fate' - that is, being aware of the various energies at specific moments and how those energies affect people in different ways, as well as how you can harness those energies to utilise a greater potential within yourself.
So you can see there is a wide interpretation as to what Astrology encompasses.
I must confess that to this day I still know very little on the workings of astrology ... but I strongly believe in it none the less (and for good reason). Without the guidance of my 'sun-sign' horoscope, I would've made many incorrect decisions over the past few years. It has become a daily ritual - I practically live my life by my horoscope.
I am confident that I have guidance from my astrological horoscope whenever I need it (until my wish/desire is fulfilled). To get a better picture of how I suspect this 'gift' has come about - I would need to discuss my occurrences of the astral plane. Something which I may discuss at a later stage. All one needs to know right now, is that my 'sun-sign' horoscope reads true for my world.
While many people throughout the world have found guidance through astrology over the years, all too often they only realise after the fact - and their wish/desire has already been fulfilled (and that their horoscope then no longer reads true for their world). Whereas my case is unique, in that I discovered that my sun-sign horoscope was reading true while my wish/desire was still in play, hence I have had immense control. It was June 2010, that I first twigged to receiving divine guidance through my horoscope, and from what I understand, I will continue to be able to receive divine guidance until I am with the one that I love so dearly (#3).
During 2010-2026, I have been able to 'influence' several horoscopes from various sources, from online (eg. Jonathan Cainer #9, as well as others) + newspaper + radio (#4).
I have also been able to 'influence' (read correct on a daily basis) 'sun-sign' horoscopes for various friends of other star signs ... but only when I mentally think about them 'reading true' for said people.
By doing so, I have also been able to see into the 'soul mind' of some people without them consciously being aware.
Strange things (to do with my own soul) have also happened to me over the recent years in the ~5 seconds before JC's horoscopes are updated online.
... At least this is what I have found in my circumstances.
The current view is that modern-day charts and horoscopes are drawn up from where the current planets are presently aligned in the sky (#5 and #6).
While this may be true, I propose that there is also something going on at the spiritual/divine level ('remote mind', spirit/soul).
I propose that the astrologer is ...
a.) An intuitive : is in tune to their 'remote mind' (unconscious thoughts) ... and is guided by this.
b.) Their 'remote mind' allows for other spirits to convey messages from 'remote minds' (spirit/soul) of other living people.
c.) The astrologer ('local mind') then puts it into words that the 'local mind' of a person will understand.
d.) I suspect this is how an astrologer can give accurate *potential* outcomes (#7) as to your future path, as well as providing deliberation on the day's events ... as the information has come from your 'remote mind' - spirit/soul.
I believe that, when I read astrology/horoscopes, it is not so much the voice of the astrologer talking to me,
but as my 'remote mind' (spirit/soul) wishing to convey certain things to my 'local mind'.
Another way of putting it - the astrologer is writing as if they were speaking to my spirit/soul.
Their soul is acting as an observer to the situation, observing what is happening.
Events don't happen simply because the astrologer writes about it. But, that the astrologer's soul is observing events take place and giving observations to the best path forward as well as likely outcomes.
I also believe that through astrology/horoscopes, it is possible to obtain a perspective as to what is happening at a spiritual level with regards to my 'remote mind' (soul) - as it appears from what I've seen, that our souls have feelings/emotions too (that are separate to our own 'local mind').
Perhaps it is a little bit of both that is happening? We can only speculate.
I can only give my perspective on astrology, through my own experiences.
Whether true or not, there is certainly something of a divine nature going on.
Astrology isn't an exact science.
If you think about it, in a way astrology *could* be likened to the weather forecasts.
As in, it's a prediction - based on current observations of the (spiritual) climate, yet there's always other forces and variables (souls or free-will) at play, which have an effect on the accuracy of the prediction.
The big difference between weather forecasters and astrologers - weather forecasters utilise electronic equipment, as well as complex computer generated models/algorithms (and yet still sometimes get it wrong!!!).
Whereas astrologers simply rely on their own intuition or 'remote mind' (soul) to write their predictions (much like weather forecasters in the early years).
We place so much trust and confidence in weather forecasters (even when they get it wrong), so surely Astrologers deserve some credit for the efforts that they do.
Society and astrology.
It is well known that kings and queens throughout history have turned to astrology for guidance, but what about modern day people?
- Albert Einstein said : "Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things and I am greatly indebted to it."
- successful US businessman JP Morgan who is the first billionaire is claimed to have said "Millionaires don't have astrologers, Billionaires do."
- the late princess Diana was another famous person to trust astrologers to plot her course in life.
- celebrities such as : Megan Fox, Madonna, Shirley MacLaine, Kelsey Grammer, Leona Lewis, Russel Brand, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga.
In a 2009 Nielson poll in Australia 41% of respondents indicated that they believe Astrology to be true (#8).
A 2009 Harris poll in the US gave a result of 26% believing in Astrology.
Annotations (to the above).
#1. As mentioned in the book : The Soulmate Myth.
While karmic relationships would be an easy way to explain the involvement of astrology within my own situation as there has been a long karmic history with someone - the truth behind my story exists in that of 'Out of Body Experiences' (astral projection) - parts of which are documented within acouple of my blog posts 'Spirits/Souls + Energy Paths' and 'The Astral : going back to the centre of all'
#2. Refer to AstrologyNewsService website : book review on Images of Soul : reimagining astrology.
#2.a. Direct quote from the link in point #2.
#3. That is roughly what my sun-sign horoscope said at the time, back in June 2010 - and so far (March 2026
), it has been extremely accurate throughout that whole period - except for when I've had to make a choice ... ie. free will at play.
#4.a.i. Further experimentation has led me to believe that 'my gift' isn't limited to any single astrologer's horoscope reading true for my world - EVERY astrological horoscope that I've turned to so far reads correct for me.
#4a.ii. I have sought guidance from a total 14 different astrologers while my wish/desire has been 'in play' ALL of them 'read true' for my life. Although, I have mainly relied on 4.
#4.b. From my observations, Jonathan Cainer seems to be very close to 100% accurate, whereas some other astrologers have been less accurate (eg.Yasmin Boland: ~95%, Kelly Surtees: 80%, Rick Levine: ~95%, 'horoscope plus' app: ~80%, 'horoscope today' app: ~85%-90%, Jo Tracey: 60%) ... I presume this is because various astrologers have developed their skills better than others - JC also seems to write very eloquently, and in great detail. I have relied on his guidance the most.
On the odd occasion that Jonathan Cainer does give a misreading or slight inaccuracy, he notices the error himself - and will correct himself in the next day's forecast (and that one is correct).
NB: percentages are a best guess approximation from my observations, only to be used as a scale to show that some astrologers are more intuitive than others.
(two examples of inaccuracy - would be an Astrologer mentioning something specific happening at school, where in actual fact it happens within my work environment - in literal terms it was wrong : but school is the equivalent of work, so in a way it was on the right track - as well as the rest of the reading being true ... or ... I was deeply/strongly mentally focused on thinking about babies/children, and later that day the astrologer specifically mentions about 'my children' in their forecast even though I have no kids. Perhaps it was due to my deeply focused thinking that threw the astrologer off course?)#4.c. During periods when the soul of my 1st love and myself are arguing/bickering, far fewer horoscopes read true (except JC. It seems that I can always count on him).
One possible theory ...
If you read the blog post regarding an astral OBE that I had - 'Spirits/Souls + Energy Paths' - especially the part towards the bottom of the post : and apply that logic across. In a similar sense, perhaps that is happening during these periods.
IE: after going out through a tunnel, my soul reaches a 'virtual front door' for the soul of that particular astrologer, perhaps the soul of the astrologer won't answer that virtual front door (ie. discern my soul). Which in turn, would mean that my horoscope wouldn't be true for me.
Farfetched? Maybe, as it goes against some of the basic principles of astrology ... but it does offer an explanation as to why some of my horoscopes don't read true during some short periods of messy, arguing/fighting.
#5. From interpreting some of the books that I've read, they talk about the planets and the solar system essentially consisting of a soul (or a collective of disincarnate souls) ... hence, if that were true, then I could understand how astrologers can give accurate readings from where planets presently align at any given time (as the planets are moving depending on current circumstances).
#6.a. If we are connected to all life everywhere, then that also means that we are connected to the planets as much as to anything else.
#6.b. And as a side-note, does that mean that our 'collective thought' has the potential to influence a meteorite to either head towards or away from Earth?
#7. Since there are so many variables at play, including that of free-will (of both the local mind and the soul mind). It provides a whole multitude of potential outcomes, which makes reading someone's future so hard (ie. JC's month ahead predictions).
#8.a. Source : Australian Nielsen Poll : Faith In Australia - december 2009
#8.b. I personally feel that the AU survey result is too high, but the result does make sense once you read how the survey question is worded as well as examining the data sets.
#9. Sadly, Jonathan Cainer passed away in May 2016. I would like to point out that - my "gift" isn't limited to any 1 astrologer - but JC is someone who I trusted an enormous amount, and he had been with me for several years (on a spiritual level) through the good and bad.
